Painting done from sketches of a clover field back in Toronto, Although the sketches had a lot of botanical detail I chose to focus on keeping it loose focusing on patterns colour and negative space lighting the impressionist influence is here and this looks painted plein air however its painted in the studio ,I feel that alot of the elements I've been experimenting with were starting to come together to offer more harmony of the elements ...therefore the work becomes more fluid and less overworked ... overworking a painting happens when uncertainty is present.
